S460QL1 va S690QL1 EN 10025-6 bo'yicha so'ndirilgan va qattiqlashtirilgan konstruktiv po'lat plitalardir. Belgilanish minimal oquvchanlikni belgilaydi (460 MPa va 690 MPa) va "QL1" qo'shimchasi past haroratlarda (masalan, -40 daraja yoki -60 daraja) kafolatlangan uzunlamasına (L1) zarba chidamliligi bilan Söndürülmüş (Q) va Temperlangan (T) holatini bildiradi. Ushbu navlar og'ir qurilish va tog'-kon mashinalari, dengiz inshootlari va ilg'or transport tizimlari kabi yuqori kuch va sinish qarshiligini talab qiluvchi yuqori kuchlanishli, muhim payvandlangan tuzilmalar uchun mo'ljallangan.

Achieving this ultra-high strength while retaining the stringent "QL1" toughness necessitates a fundamentally more advanced metallurgical approach for S690QL1. Its chemical composition involves significantly higher levels of carbon, manganese, and alloying elements like chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and boron. Consequently, S690QL1 has a dramatically higher carbon equivalent (Ceq) and crack susceptibility index compared to S460QL1. This translates to an exponential increase in fabrication complexity. Welding S690QL1 is exceptionally restrictive: it demands specially developed ultra-high-strength consumables, meticulous preheating (often >150 daraja), juda past issiqlik sarfi, oʻtish oraligʻidagi qattiq harorat nazorati va issiqlik taʼsirlangan hududda qattiqlikni tiklash va vodorod yorilishi-ning oldini olish uchun deyarli har doim payvanddan keyingi issiqlik bilan ishlov berish (PWHT) amalga oshiriladi.
